Twa Sisters (Reanimation)

Twa Sisters (Reanimation)

Twa Sisters (Reanimation Version)

In river vale twa sisters fair
Their father’s pride and only cheer
By forest edge twa sisters fair
Oh Love our fire glows bright and clear!

In Christian town twa sisters fair
The elder Johnny’s jersey wore
By stone-stacked walls twa sisters fair
Oh Love how deep-in you have tore!

Dear Johnny chose a golden ring
He crowed his heart as he ran
Sweet Johnny gave younger his ring
Oh Love do teach my soul to stand!

Twa sisters walking rocky brim
I dare not yet dare and do
Twa sisters on the water’s brim
Oh Love I need him make him true!

The elder tipped her sister in
Cold waters sleek swirl round
The elder held her sister down
If chose for love no choice can sin!

One sister dancing hardwood jig
Strobe lights flash gymnasium
One sister giggling in Johnny’s rig
One sister glows (amazed he’s won).

One sister bumping river bed
Smooth stones may yet slice up yer head.
One sister drops to shadowlands
Where goblin-faeries souls command.

Poor Johnny’d drunk too much to think
And now he holds the elder near
Weak Johnny’d lost himself in drink
But now his thoughts do swim more clear

Who wanders through my mist-caught world?
What woman-child approaches me?
In barren realm where souls are hurled,
What mortal meekly makes her plea?

Ah beautiful!, how sweet you smell
Yes purr and stretch and snuggle in
But ange’, could you me kindly tell
Where whiled your sis last evening?

On pale-earth trail twa sisters wail
Outside tall Johnny’s custom ride.
What’s sacred you forsook it!
What’s false you went & took it!

On weedy path near water’s face
White morning light on ev’ry side
Twa sisters locked in bowed embrace
The one had lived; the other’d died.

Young groggy Johnny can but stare
Them huddled ‘neath a weeping hug
Thin fingers hid ‘neath sister’s hair
He finds no ring, just shame’s sharp tug

Twa sisters stand by river swift
Twa hands entwine, away they fly
Dear Johnny, whither went your gift?
Sweet Johnny, it’s your time to cry.

Twa sisters float upon the wind
Betwixt twa worlds in songs they roam
Forgive us Lord for one has sinned
Please make us whole please take us home.

In river vale twa sisters fair
Their father’s pride and only cheer
By forest edge twa sisters fair
Oh Love our fire glows bright and clear!

In Christian town twa sisters fair
The elder Johnny’s jersey wore
By stone-stacked walls twa sisters fair
Oh Love how deep-in you have tore!
